Jan. 9th, 2022 10:53 pmTopped up diesel. There was more in the tank than I expected so much so that I didn't stick the diesel measuring stick in. Was going to pump out but the attendant was very friendly and chatting, telling me about his Irwin 28, and racing on the east coast, and after starting to think maybe I had enough diesel (I did) he was telling me about not having a cash drawer but could go get cash then saying he'd help push me off and so I didn't pump out. Should have kidnapped him for crew.
I thought I transferred almost all of the old diesel out, added 5 gallons, and that's all there was, so what am I am forgetting or what did I completely mess up? Should be a 20 gallon tank. I added 4 and it's basically full. I ran the filter and pump dry heeled with the engine on last year (derp, everything is at least last year right now) so there wasn't that much fuel in there then.
Light winds out of the north shifting to from the west right as I was getting back in.
Taking covers off after a while is always a treat. This time, it was a menagerie of stink bugs, lady bugs, spiders, and wasps, all chilling together in their snug little cocoon.
