Mar. 16th, 2023 10:18 amBoring updates.
Missed registration deadline (there might be a late registration; guess I should look; yup, there is... March 31; inclined to try to skip out of it but U*P is trying to shepherd people through so that's now contentious).
One person submitted uggcf://jjj.fghqbph.pbz/ra-hf/qbphzrag/havirefvgl-bs-gur-crbcyr/pbzchgre-tencuvpf/2021-pf-4406-havg-7-bssvpvny-fbyhgvba/22127581 (again, this org tries way harder to find people trashing them than people actually cheating their way through, so being careful).
The people who steal overwhelmingly just attach a pdf or docx, with a kind of cover page inserted, instead of attaching the source code or linking to a page like repl.it hosting running code. I hate opening those. Every time, I search course+unit and find it bit for bit on studoc/studyblue/etc. A few times I've tried to run the code; it doesn't run; web resources have long since vanished.
Also missed a self-test which I hate because you get unlimited retries so you can brute force the questions they screwed up that expect a wrong answer and figure out which wrong answer it is, and they're often re-used as-is on the final. Very much Picard and the lights. Crunching on work and very much asking myself why I'm doing this.
Amtrak sleeper is booked up for months, still, and is crazy expensive when it does become available again. I've also figured out that if you do more than a few searches, the site starts showing an error when you try to search that lasts for months, apparently against a fingerprint of that device. A different device on the same IP can go several more searches then gets the same thing. A locked out device moving IP or clearing cookies or opening a private window stays locked out. This ban lasts a surprisingly long time. The site has no easy to find out when a sleeper becomes available so if you want first available and try to Monte Carlo in on some date, you'll get locked out, so I only put out a few feelers at month intervals. Talking to them on the phone in the past, they were able to search for next date they had sleeper available on that route. Not sure if they can search for low rates on the phone. But regardless, I'm not capable of planning that far ahead, though I've had a todo list item on a PostIt for months to try to schedule something here. If I'm going to bounce about every 4-6 months and there's a 6 month backlog, I really need to book as soon as I land.
