There's a fair amount of unripe fruit still, maybe 1.5 batches worth, but that it isn't ripe and hasn't rippened in the days I've been sitting on it means it probably won't do better than dry and bland. This was not a good year in CA for apricots I'm now told.
I forgot to buy lemons and as I was walking over to knock on poor Tim's door to ask if he had any lemons, I spotted a bag full of lemons on his front porch. The answer was "yes, take all you want". Someone else brought me beer. Glad there was some scrounging in. I feel bad about giving away gifts I haven't scrounged up, after all. Time's running out but may try to keep an eye out for better apricots. The smaller, better farmer's market never opened this year (along that stretch of highway, are three farmer's markets, of ascending levels of fakeness, the first being legit).
