Incredibly glad that it's now night and the announcements have stopped. The announcements, before they stopped, were non-stop. The same message would get repeated three times, then a minute later, would get repeated three times again, then a few minutes later, same. I'll stay up too late then they'll start at 7am on the dot, and I'll be tired, again. Coming out of The Great Quiet is always jarring.

After last trip, I just brought food instead of trying and possibly again failing to negotiate take-out. I think I need to stop eating so many peanuts tho unless I can score organic ones maybe. Something has been catching up with me and that's my first guess.

LJ used to accept (and maybe still does) in-line base64 encoded images but sadly DW blocks that. So, doing this the hard way.

Delta to Antioch to Martinez to Sacramento is taking the long way to Sacramento.

Da twain da twain da twain!

Anitoch marina, a good jumping off point for visiting CSC. Amtrak station is a 5 minute walk away and Emeryville is a 15 minute ride in to CSC.

Some pretty boats there.

At the Amtrak station right by there. These guys are so close.

There are a string of bays coming off of the SF Bay and they're all incredible.

So many geese. I can't even begin to describe how many geese filled the sky.

Lots of little friends.

Stuff.

Weather was just getting really incredible but it was helpful to see the winds and weather patterns that time of year. There were favorable winds in to March, and fairly often, as opposed to wind straight on the nose when heading west towards the SF Bay as happens consistently all summer. Tried bucking those in a gale the previous trip and single-handed, it's exhausting. Channels are narrow. That and a mix of large ships mobos. Favorable winds are a huge plus.
