Found my wingnuts. One was under the winch handle holster thingie and the other in it which is kind of amazing because the port scupper is an inch away. So they just got knocked off the cockpit bench, which figures. Also vacuumed the putrid water out of the port scupper to nowhere that's awaiting an above-the-waterline thru-hull fitting, a recurring chore until that's hooked up. More cleaning and organizing stuff in the cockpit lockers in to buckets with lids. Space under the galley had stuff leaking from the cutting board counter top, and a leaking portlight had been dripping on to that, so it's rank under there.

Fetched mail from Isleton and refilled water. Noticed Mei Wei (confusingly similar to Pei Wei) has some patio seating going and they're supposed to have a good beer selection so stopped and read the beer menu in the window and that's it. Patio fencing is made out of pallets. Looks like they have stuff to go and there's an assortment of stouts, porters, sours, IPAs, etc. Early on, they closed down hard, as did the other Chinese restaurant in town (this whole side of the delta is historically Chinese), then they started doing window growler refill service, which I somehow never took advantage of despite owning a growler.

Hoping this is just a misunderstanding but PHIL instructor and the book have correctly told us to assume premises true, which is normal and traditional and the only workable approach, but then profs keeps arbitrarily declaring valid arguments invalid because he has second guessed the premise for various reason, including completely unstated hypothetical mitigating circumstances, which is insanity. That's wrong on two levels. A false or invalid premise doesn't invalidate a well structured argument, only the conclusion, and we are provisionally assuming the premises for the sake of being able to formulate an argument. I had to make peace with arbitrary and capricious scoring in U*People but it doesn't transfer anywhere except UC and that's not in the budget. I don't want to at CC but maybe I should. At this point, I've spent too much time trying to pin him down on when the premises are assumed and when they're second guessed and it's all a bunch of handwavy stuff that I have no confidence in figuring out the rhyme and reason of. The other path is ENGL C101 and C102. I got an override on having to take ENGL C101 for this class. Honestly, I could probably manage a B, but I'm not confident of that. It's easier to throw classes back when there are lots of options. And this is a class that should have transferred in but didn't.
