(no subject)

I guess I registered for a class (one... just one) at U*P. They're constantly changing things there and it looks like late windowed late registration started to open, and they sent me a text saying "register now!" but my group wasn't in line yet, but last year, looking at reg, they made the system smart enough to figure out and tell you when you (your slot and all) are able to reg when you look at reg. The registration I had was cancelled for lack of having figured out a proctor, and I'm registered for an unproctored class in the same semester and I totally could have found a proctor given just a little time. Anyway, now I'm registered for a computer graphics class, another topic I know a lot about but also have big missing pieces in. Maybe hopefully I'll learn more GL. In the early 90's, I was tutoring students with their GL homework on SGI Indys barely knowing any GL at all (GL didn't exist off of high-end Unix workstations then, and SGI was the king of GL). GL's ok... bit banging and smashing registers is just more *fun*. I'm going to be constipated with a solid brick of proctored classes, and their automated handling of that keeps changing too. Maybe I'll quit and do them all at once. BoatFriend got two contract support job offers at the same time when he started to apply so maybe that is a fallback. I'm not really far above it right now. Things are going to be ugly here.
