Glad I got in to swim yesterday because tomorrow we're supposed to travel for the holiday. That was the 3rd since I got here. Failed on Sat, discovering that the local YMCA doesn't take guests. Yesterday I got three different times from the Shoreview community center, from the print-out on display at the front desk, the people at the front desk, and the life guards. Site was not up to date so initially came down in the middle of the day. In the end, just shuttling back and forth and waiting, stupidly not having brought a book, was a three hour project. Minnesota people often live up to the reputation of being nice but not very on the ball. Should have joined the Y as soon as I got here. The community center has a hot tub. I spent over an hour admiring the ceiling. In a concrete waterpark, they did not neglect a comprehensive network of fire sprinklers. Now missing my bicycle. Legs are itchy.
