May. 4th, 2023 11:45 pmBit jetlegged despite taking the slow route. Stayed up till 11 last night to get in a late night shower, as has been my custom. Bit better now but 9pm still feels like bed time. Found the top sheet in the closet but took me a bit to find the bottom sheet in the not-done laundry. Oops.
Asking what-news, The Enforcer had his fancy long cabin, long bed, lifted F250 truck stolen and then used to steal ATMs. Kinda ironic since part of his job is being security. For a long time he walked up and down the place randomly at every hour.
Ex-Sneakaboard's large motorcruiser almost sank, when the water inlet to the head started to siphon. That's a common way for pleasurecraft to go down. Always turn off the head inlet water when you're not flushing or better yet get rid of that and flush with a bucket. Reports are he was super freaked about that, and it was listing pretty hard to one side. Haven't talked to him yet. He's offered the use of his car and I did take it once previously.
No major vessel comings and goings as far as I can see, which is odd. I guess I haven't been away that long, but this place has been turbulent in that regard.
Kitty corner neighbor is getting in to TikTok conspiracies.
Back on my McMaster bullshit. Put in an order. But of course quickly after I submitted the order, I discovered another hardware item I needed, replacement screws for the ones I drilled out to get the bronze jib winch off of the mast. I forgot about that whole project and having started but not finished that before. Trying to get stuff in the mast rebedded since whatever bedding compound is long gone and its all just exchanging electrons now. Getting those screws out was a pain and most got very carefully drilled out.
Cold enough at night for the sleeping bag, which is heavier than the other one.
